Welcome Message from Nahnum Church

Hello, Welcome to the Nahnum Church website. I am Rev. Jungseob Kim, Senior Pastor of Nahnum Church.

Nahnum Church is striving to realize the vision of becoming “a church that reveals God’s kingdom by sharing the Word and life.” To fulfill this dream, we are committed to carrying out a mission that is crucial in our time: “Making disciples of all generations and groups, sending them out into the world.” We continue to pursue this mission both within and beyond our church community.

After the COVID-19 pandemic, the world we live in will look very different from life before. Our lives are becoming increasingly individualized and isolated, often overshadowed by loneliness. Where can we find a way out of this solitude? God has provided the heavenly community of the church on earth through Jesus Christ. At Nahnum Church, we seek to bridge generational gaps within the community, build healthy families, and bring those families together into a larger, vibrant family of faith.

The energy of this mutual building up within the community empowers our members to live as citizens of God’s kingdom in the world. Such a life allows us to taste, even now, a glimpse of the glory and privilege of the heavenly community.

We sincerely hope that your visit to the Nahnum Church website will be an opportunity for a joyful and blessed faith journey.

History

Nahnum Church began in September 2004 with a few families as a Korean congregation, presenting a unique church model through intergenerational worship and mission-centered ministry. For over twenty years since its founding, Rev. Ji-Young Ahn served as Senior Pastor, and currently Rev. Jungseob Kim has succeeded in that role.

Distinctives

Integrated Worship Nahnum Church practices intergenerational worship as a way of living out its mission: making disciples across generations and sending them into the world.

Dure Fellowship Groups Small church communities where members share how to apply biblical living in everyday life, pray together, and build relationships.

Bible Study (GBS) Groups meet during the week or before Sunday worship to read and prepare together on the Sunday sermon text. Each GBS group gathers for a set period of time, after which new groups are formed.

Nahnum Foundation A non-profit foundation that provides scholarships to college students in financial need and offers interest-free microloans to struggling families. Operated by church members, it is not profit-driven but exists to strengthen believers and bring life to those in need.

Education Ministries

YCIA (Young Christians In Action)

For those who have graduated from high school or are of similar age, YCIA provides a space to build close relationships, share the Word, and enjoy fellowship together. Meets every Friday from 7:30pm to 10:00pm.

Nahnum Youth Ministry – BASIC (Brother and Sister in Christ)

Our goal is to help youth develop a sound biblical understanding of who God is, and to live daily as disciples of Jesus with an identity shaped by His character and love—not for themselves alone, but together with neighbors in God’s kingdom. They gather for fellowship, engage in Community Service Projects to help those in need, and also host Praise Nights.

Nahnum Sunday School – NTK (Nahnum Twinkle Kids)

The youngest children, who will carry on the next generation, grow by sharing the Word and life together with their parents within the family and the church community.
